Barcelona is actually quite walkable with the right amount of enthusiasm. So on my third day I decided to see some of the Gaudi sites on foot (mostly).
I took the subway from the Rambles to Parc Guell. Walked down to La Sagrada de Familia, over to La Pedrera, back to the Rambles and passing Casa Batllo on the way.
With my amazing sense of direction (not really), I figured out a system to avoid getting incredibly lost. I picked up a map of the tour bus routes that constantly circle the city. On my walk back from Parc Guell I could tell when I needed to take a left or right to hit the next site by observing where the buses were coming from. Pretty clever, if I do say so myself. :)
